Centre George North says Wales are ready for all-out war in the highly-anticipated decider against the Springboks in Cape Town on Saturday.
The Welsh squared the three-Test series with a 13-12 win in Bloemfontein last week – a first victory for Wales on SA soil – by keeping the Boks try-less in a game won by a Josh Adams try and a touchline conversion from replacement flyhalf Gareth Anscombe.
Now, the 104-Test outside centre is relishing an even bigger challenge at Cape Town Stadium this week, where the World Cup-winning centre combination of Damian de Allende and Lukhanyo Am has been recalled to the Bok starting XV. “The first Test set the standard for both teams. No backward steps were taken and the second Test felt even more on edge, as it should have done.
“We felt rough after last week, especially with the way it finished, and to come out and get one back is brilliant. With one more game to go in Cape Town it builds the excitement beautifully.”He added: “The squad is in a really good place. We could feel a performance coming in our preparation.
