North Carolina Republicans will vote to override two vetoes from Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper on bills concerning sex reassignment surgery for minors and trans athletes.

The first North Carolina bill would bar medical professionals from providing hormone therapy, puberty-blocking drugs and surgicalto anyone under the age 18, with few exceptions. If the bill is overridden, the legislation will take effect immediately. North Carolina Democratic Gov.
