Norman Beck is running for Ward 3 - Brighton seat on Charlottetown city council in the upcoming municipal election. ContributedCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — Retired educator Norman Beck is joining the race for the Ward 3 - Brighton seat on Charlottetown city council in the fall municipal election.
In announcing his candidacy, Beck said he aims to bring a level of openness, collaboration and accountability to city council. "My commitment is to listen to the wishes and concerns of the residents of Ward 3 and find solutions to keep this city moving forward in a positive direction,“ he said. Beck currently serves on the board of the Public Schools Branch and began his career life as a French immersion teacher at Birchwood Intermediate.
He followed that with four years as vice-principal and 12 years as principal at Stonepark Intermediate.
