The award program recognizes individuals, groups and organizations who have made outstanding contributions and achievements to the city. Mayor Danny Breen said many people are doing extraordinary things to make St. John’s a great place to live. “We encourage citizens to look to their neighbours, friends, community leaders, and local organizations who are deserving of recognition,” said Breen.New for 2023 is the Climate Change Leadership Award, which recognizes individuals and organizations demonstrating exemplary leadership in climate action.
Other categories include awards for athlete of the year, heritage awards, volunteer awards, tourism awards, youth of the year and senior of the year.It has been our privilege to have the trust and support of our East Coast communities for the last 200 years.
