'We are trying to find alternative means of ensuring that services are not disrupted any more.' KZNwaste Durban

Since Monday workers have been expressing their grievances which has resulted in large amounts of waste lying unattended at the municipality.Through their unions they are demanding the city addresses their grievances, which revolves mainly around job gradings.

Msunduzi Mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla says they've started engaging unions and want to make it clear that the strike has gone on long enough."Over and above that we will also be engaging with law enforcement agencies to find out exactly what's going on.
