Deputy President David Mabuza’s office says claims making the rounds on social media that the country's second in command had handed in his resignation are fake.
Mabuza’s spokesperson, Matshepo Seedat, dismissed the rumour started by the Fezile Dabi Youth League, saying there is “no truth” to such claims. She did not comment on whether Mabuza, who declined the nomination for ANC deputy president and was replaced by Paul Mashatile, was still available to continue until the end of his term.
