The wait for the new Carling Knockout is nearly over. Mamelodi Sundowns will be the first team to kick things off this week. Soon after Bafana Bafana play Ivory Coast on Tuesday and before Sundowns kick off the African Football League at the weekend, Kabo Yellow will quickly squeeze in a game on Wednesday night. The fixture is a trip to Mpumalanga to battle The Rockets in the final 16 of the brand-new Carling Knockout. Kick-off is set for 19:30 at the Mbombela Stadium.

: “I hope it doesn’t come to that, I hope it doesn’t and my hope is that we will always be able to put out the best team on the pitch and then, of course, to make sure all of us are available to assist and support the players over the 90 minutes,” Mokwena said via “We don’t train one team but the entire group to make sure that they understand the demands, style of play and schemes. We have to make sure we are ready for each and every game this season,” the Sundowns mentor added.
