The Bafana Bafana stars who play for Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United will get no rest as they head straight to national team camp on Wednesday - three days after playing in the Nedbank Cup final.

Pirates captain Innocent Maela and team-mates Nkosinathi Sibisi, Miguel Timm and Monnapule Saleng, as well as Sekhukhune United’s Sydney Nyiko Mobbie played in the Ke Yona Cup final at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday, a game that Bucs won 2-1.

The rest of the Bafana players have also not had enough time off as they played their last matches of the DStv Premiership campaign a week earlier. There is not a single Kaizer Chiefs player in the 32-member preliminary squad that was announced by Bafana coach Hugo Broos, while there are 10 from champions Mamelodi Sundowns and four from runners-up Pirates.A reduced pre-camp, which will comprise local and a few overseas-based players, will report for duty on Wednesday until June 7.
