Planning a trip on the N4? Important toll payment changes are coming this December, so be prepared before your holiday travels.
The festive season is upon us, and many are planning to rejuvenate for 2025. As families and friends from across the country will be travelling to various destinations via the N4, an important notice has been issued regarding toll gates on this route.
Trans African Concessions has announced that it is phasing out magstripe card payments as of December 1. Trac manages the N4 toll route, which runs from the Solomon Mahlangu off-ramp in Tshwane, Gauteng, to the Port of Maputo in Mozambique.Starting 1 December 2024, TRAC N4 toll plazas will no longer accept magstripe card payments.According to Trac, toll plazas on the N4 will no longer accept magstripe card payments from next month.
