DC's The Flash movie will send Ezra Miller's Barry Allen through the multiverse; however, the film not including Grant Gustin plays against it.

The Flash movie not having a Grant Gustin cameo reveals DC's Barry Allen lie. DC is ready to enter the multiverse in theaters with the release of The Flash, which arrives on June 16. The movie will be the first time in history that DC's most famous speedster gets a solo theatrical entry. Leading the film is Ezra Miller, playing the title hero as Barry Allen enters the multiverse after going back in time to save his mother's life.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT One of those characters DC fans were hoping to see was the Arrowverse's version of The Flash. Sadly, Gustin is not in The Flash, as the actor recently revealed that he was not secretly part of The Flash's cast.

The Flash Movie's Multiverse Actor Rules Don't Make Sense One of the biggest selling points of The Flash is the presence of multiple Batman actors in the movie. The Flash's marketing campaign has heavily featured both Michael Keaton — who returns as Batman after 31 years — and Ben Affleck's versions of the Dark Knight. The multiverse easily explains why two different Batman actors can play Bruce Wayne in The Flash.

The Flash will see Affleck portray the main universe's Bruce Wayne, hailing from the DCEU with Miller's Barry Allen. On the other hand, Keaton portrays his Batman from the Tim Burton movies in an alternate universe that The Flash ends up in. While Keaton's universe has a Barry Allen, that version of the character will also be played by Miller.

Why Does Ezra Miller Play Both Versions Of Barry Allen? The Flash appears to only feature the main version of Barry Allen and the one from the universe The Flash created after going back in time to save his mother. Due to that, it makes sense for Miller to play both versions, as The Flash's variant that has been revealed in the trailers is essentially who Miller's own Barry would have turned into had his mom not been killed when he was a kid.
