'Fed up': PSAC leadership decries slow Treasury board response, pickets apparently return

Ayklward was joined at the 15-minute briefing by PSAC National Executive Vice-President Sharon DeSousa, and PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President for the National Capital Region Alex Silas.Article contentfor more than 35,000 Canada Revenue Agency workers and more 120,000 employees in departments and agencies under the purview of the Treasury Board after the parties failed to come to an agreement by the union’s deadline of 9 p.m. Tuesday night.
The union and the federal government have been negotiation for more than two weeks about key issues including wages and telework. Going into bargaining, PSAC called for 4.5-per-cent annual wage increases for Treasury Board members.a “fair, competitive offer” to PSAC of a nine per cent increase over three years and that they had “responded to all their demands,” including proposals related to telework, shift premiums, improved leave with pay for family-related responsibilities and measures to support employment equity and diversity and inclusion, though they didn’t provide details on what proposals had been made.
