The Buckeyes finished a five-game stretch against unranked opponents with a 105-67 win over North Alabama on Sunday afternoon.

By the end of the game, that's exactly what happened, but it wasn't as seamless for Ohio State in the early part of the game as it could've been. After leading by just six points after the first quarter, the Buckeyes pulled away in the second quarter and down the stretch to win 105-67.

"Scouting them, we knew they were going to be a really fast-paced team," freshman forward Cotie McMahon said."One thing we really talked about and scouted was how fast they get the ball out after their shot, so they could break our press and stuff like that. That's something that we had to adjust to coming into the game, seeing it right away and then obviously, coming out of halftime and really having to adjust to it.

After struggling to mount a double-digit lead in the first 15 minutes of the game, the Buckeyes built their advantage to 21 points by the 5:08 mark of the second quarter. Unlike previous runs, which were consistently interrupted by the Lions before Ohio State could really get on a roll, North Alabama's ability to answer with baskets of its own waned considerably in the second quarter.

North Alabama sophomore Skyler Gill scored 11 points in the first quarter but added just 12 the rest of the game as Ohio State adjusted to her skills and limited the Lions' offensive threat.
