Sullivan, and Deion Johnson received first place in the First Amendment category foran investigation into explosive recordings of Clark Township officials referring to Black people with racial slurs and a six-figure settlement that kept the controversy under wraps.The staff was also awarded first-place in the Web Project category for

an in-depth examination of every dollar earned by 24,000 law enforcement officers in New Jersey, and the lack of oversight surrounding that spending.NJ Advance Media’s advertising and creative team won 24 NJPA awards for creative excellence in 2022, including 11 first place awards, seven second place awards, and six third place awards.
