'It is terrible'

Drivers have labelled a busy junction plagued by impatient motorists beeping their horns a 'nightmare'. Locals have spoken of their frustration with the five-way junction where the A6514 Western Boulevard/Valley Road meets with Church Street, Vernon Road, and Radford Road in Basford, citing build ups of traffic and angry drivers.

Paco Igulo, 40, who works as a Just Eat driver, said: "It's worst when it's school time. There's a lot of shouting between people that are driving, there's always accidents when people turn onto Vernon Road. "You have to cross each other and it's always busy so it's sometimes too much. It annoys some people quite a bit I think, everybody driving through is always in a rush."

"The traffic lights don't let enough people through for drivers I don't think, so people kick off when two cars get through. You get quite a lot of people honking at each other for getting in the way - it is terrible."
