Call for Govt to Correct False Claims on Nigeria Media - WatchdogThe Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has urged Nigerian authorities to correct false claims that its research shows Nigeria as the only African country in full compliance with the protection of journalists' rights. The CPJ has documented attacks, prosecutions, and harassment of journalists in Nigeria, and its research reveals that at least 24 journalists have been killed in the country since 1992, with 12 of these deaths connected to their work.
