Nigella Lawson has provoked a backlash after sharing a recipe for a 'crustless pizza' - with one person saying she 'likes to provoke' Italians with some of her ideas.
Nigella Lawson has ruffled some feathers by whipping up a classic Italian pizza - but without any crusts. The TV chef shares a new dish every day with her 3.1M Instagram followers, and quipped that today's 'Recipe Of The Day' was 'Crustless pizza'.
However, not all of her followers were impressed with the creation -with some even comparing it to an omelette. While the comments on the post have now been limited, the Daily Star reports that there were some angry fans. Nigella is no stranger to unusual food pairings, having previously served up spaghetti with marmite and caramel on potatoes. A third fan reportedly commented: "This, and your spaghetti and Marmite were my ex's favourite recipes of yours. She's not allowed to cross the Italian border."
Nigella's recipe blunder comes after the famous chef revealed her thoughts on diet culture and shared how she doesn't worry about putting on weight, but instead loves to enjoy what she eats.
