Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams has been linked with a move to Liverpool following his impressive performances for Spain at Euro 2024
Unai Simon has made it clear that he won't be swaying Nico Williams' decision regarding his future amidst ongoing speculation of a big-money transfer to Liverpool. The 22-year-old winger shone brightly during this summer's European Championships, netting the first goal against England in the final and contributing to Spain's historic fourth European title.
'Nico has earned the respect of the Athletic dressing room and the Spanish national team,' Simon told Football Espana . 'No one is going to say anything to him about the decision he makes; it is impossible; we will be happy with the decision he makes. The only advice I can give him is that after everything he has experienced, the year he has had that has been honours is that he enjoys the holidays with his people and then comes here with his batteries charged.
