In one disturbing message, nurse Catherine Hudson wrote: “I sedated one of them to within an inch of her life lol. Bet she’s flat for a week haha xxx.”
Two NHS nurses have been found guilty of conspiring to mistreat patients in their care, with one drugging victims for 'an easy shift' as her colleague egged her on.

I'm f**ked" - Horrific dashcam footage shows moment speeding drunk driver crashes car - killing teen friendDuring the four week trial at Preston Crown Court, the jury has heard reports of how staff on the unit routinely stole drugs and made jokes about the vulnerable patients in their care. When two patients became agitated or 'hard work', Hudson would administer sedatives to make the lives of herself and her colleagues easier.
Wilmot replied: “Pmsl well tonight sedate him to high heaven lol xxx.” Hudson said: “Already in my head to give him double!!” The student nurse was further troubled when Hudson commented: “Well she’s got a DNAR in place so she wouldn’t be opened up if she died or like if it came to any harm.” In the witness box, Hudson insisted any messages which joked about drugging patients were 'banter', admitting they sounded awful but were not evidence she had mistreated any patients on the Stroke Unit. She said she was a devoted nurse who cared for her patients and had chosen to work in the facility after her own father suffered a series of strokes.
