NFF Set To 'Punish' Osimhen Over Ex-Coach Rant
The Nigeria Football Federation is reportedly set to charge Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen following his rant on social media about their recently departed national team head coach.The NFF is reportedly planning to charge the Napoli man for improper conduct after the forward's verbal lashing of now-former Nigeria head coach Finidi George.
The forward's rant came after George handed in his resignation as boss of the three-time African champions, which came after the nation's football governing body announced that they will be appointing a foreign technical advisor to the team.
"Already, the president of the NFF, Ibrahim Gusau, has spoken with Osimhen over his outburst, and Finidi has also reached out to him. The report he reacted to is false and misleading, sadly he didn't confirm before reacting," the member told "Osimhen is a role model and the only way we can help the incoming coach stamp his authority in the team is by using him to set an example.
