Leeds United's hunt for a new boss continues following last week's sacking of Jesse Marsch. The American departed following last Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest which leftA host of names have been linked, but after Carlos Corberan, Andoni Iraola, Arne Slot and Marcelo Gallardo were ruled out of the running, former Ajax manager Alfred Schreuder emerged as bookies' favourite for the job.
The Dutchman was at Elland Road on Sunday for the defeat to Manchester United and has held talks with the Elland Road hierarchy over succeeding Marsch. However, the 50-year-old has since flown back to the Netherlands with the club going back to the drawing board once again. Michael Skubala is currently part of a three-man caretaker team in charge of the Whites and has led the Whites to a 2-2 draw and a 2-0 defeat to the Red Devils in last week's double header. He'll now take charge of the important clash with Everton this weekend.
