The Browns got back to voluntary workouts this week, but two players made an extra stop in the community for another workout. Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II and linebacker Tony Fields II paid a visit to Berea Mid-Park High School and crashed the girls’ flag football team’s practice.
Published: Apr. 16, 2024 at 11:02 PM EDTCLEVELAND, Ohio - The pair took their football expertise just up the street offering the girls tips and tricks for their regular season matchups.
“Super athletic, super-fast, tough. I’ve been watching, and my sister has been playing on teams with me all my life so I see what women are capable of. But now it’s starting to expand, and I feel like more people are starting to see what they’re capable of,” added Fields II. “Girls listen way better they are literal. If you tell them to do something, it’s done. Almost too literal at times. It’s refreshing to work with the girls. They compete hard, and they’ve gone hard since day one. It’s easy to coach them,” Hunek said.“It was really cool to have some NFL players, Browns players, working with our girls. We had a great turnout this year, so it’s exciting to see this evolve. It’s cool to see the support of the Cleveland Browns.
