- ROME, AUG 30 - A newly wed couple on Wednesday thanked the authorities and local community in Foggia, Puglia, for helping to ensure that their car was returned after it was stolen shortly after their wedding with the bridal dress and groom suit inside.

"We thank all the people who contributed to finding the car and especially the wedding dress. Without a real mobilisation, this result would not have been possible," said Pasquale, 36, adding that he and his wife Rosalba, 37, had been contacted by police on Wednesday morning with news of the find.

The car, a Fiat Punto, was found badly parked near Foggia station carrying a note reading"I may be a thief, but I have a heart". It had been stolen in Foggia on the night between Saturday and Sunday while the couple, from Monti Dauni near Foggia but resident in Rome, were at a local hotel. .
