Newest coronavirus flight cancellations and travel restrictions as virus spreads in U.S.

American Airlines and British Airways have suspended certain international flights.

reported that Italy's lockdown of the Lombardy region would be expanded to the entire country. Schools and universities will be closed until April 3, extending the previous closing schedule until March 15. All restaurants and bars will be required to close at 6 p.m. and Italians are not recommended to travel except for work or emergencies.

DFW to Hong Kong suspended through July 1, with flights only continuing three times a week through October 23. According to the press release, American's reservations team will contact customers with affected flights by phone or email., British Airways has contacted customers to cancel and refund flights due to the Foreign Office's advice to avoid all but essential travel to Italy.
