Football Insider has been told by Kieran Maguire that Newcastle United are set to triple their money by partnering with Adidas this week.

The episode was quickly taken off air, but Adidas responded with a social media post that essentially confirmed the deal would be announced on 1 September. Newcastle were previously partnered with UK-based manufacturer Castore in an agreement worth around £5-7million per year. Maguire insists that Newcastle’s Adidas agreement will be a ‘significant’ step up, while also providing the club with a global distribution network to help sell kits to overseas fans.
