A new and improved Xbox controller is planned for next year, with new haptic and motion control features.
The new controller still looks very similar to the classic Merlin Xbox joypad, but it’s not clear how accurate the image is or whether it’s just a placeholder.
There are already plans to let you customise it through the Xbox Design Lab feature, presumably allowing you to change both the top and bottom colours. The controller could accompany the upcoming Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X version, also revealed in the leak, as soon as next year. The new-look Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X are pencilled in for releases September 2024 and November 2024 respectively.suggesting it, or a future variant, will become key to Xboxt’s next gen plans.
