"One of the things to know about the way that the Brazoria County Library System works in general is that we have what’s called a floating collection. As people ask for things to come to a certain branch, it tends to stay there unless it’s requested elsewhere," West Pearland Branch Librarian Jessica Williams said."Part of the reason that we end up with the biggest foreign language collection is because we’ve got those foreign-language readers.
Jigar Trivedi, who works as a senior business intelligence consultant for the United States government, said he likes to come to the library almost daily since he works from home and has access to all the things he needs for work there. The library includes an outdoor amphitheater, 100-seat teaching theater and a designated story-time room.
"We come twice a week for the Toddler Time and Story Time," said Alicia Waiters as her and her family watched another patron flying a drone near the library."I bring my daughter, and I enjoy it because it's something fun and interesting for her to do. I get to meet other parents, and she gets to meet other kids."
