Plans to regenerate a popular waterfront area and 'well used' park is exactly what an East Midlands town needs, residents say. The plans for Long Eaton's West Park, and along the Erewash Canal, form part of an award of £24.8m from the Government for the town's Investment Plan

The Erewash Borough Council has said the plans for the project on the park should benefit residents by providing an abundance of new employment opportunities. The 84-year-old added: It’s somewhere nice. And it’s being used more now than it’s ever been used. We are really lucky to have this facility.”
