, 45, died in October, everyone associated with the tournament wondered how the event could continue without her enthusiasm and her smiling face.
Jenn Sheppard, media co-ordinator for the tournament, said the Adirondack chair is made out of special material that’s made to last, featuring a beautiful finish and a plaque on its back with Janet's name on it. Morrison was born in Glace Bay and attended schools in Dominion, Glace Bay and New Waterford. She graduated from BEC in 1997 and then attended Horizon Achievement Centre for many years.
Janet would cheer on her beloved Bears during the games and hold the ball for referees during stoppages. Though her allegiances to the home team could not be swayed, teams often tried. "He laughed and said, ‘you know what you are such a loyal fan and I’ll give you one anyway.’ She put it on and she wore it all that evening.”
