“I’m extremely happy with the success of the program in its first year and already have big plans underway to improve and grow the program next season,” said league founder Skyler Peterson. The league, which was opened to players across Cape Breton Island, hoped to begin play in 2021, but it was forced to cancel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Once restrictions were lifted this past March, Peterson was able to organize the league in just over two months.
