New Army 'Safety Shorts' are an innovative way to disseminate safety information.
FORT NOVOSEL—The U.S. Army Combat Readiness Center recently released a new tool in its continued efforts to ensure vital safety and loss prevention information gets into the hands of soldiers at the lowest levels.
Safety Shorts were created in response to USACRC Commanding General and Director of Army Safety Brig. Gen. Jonathan C. Byrom’s desire to explore innovative ways to disseminate safety information, said Tracey Russell, a safety specialist with the USACRC’s Directorate of Analysis and Prevention, Ground Division.
Safety Shorts can be filtered into on- and off-duty categories. Once a Safety Short is selected, the topic notes are visible, and the video can be played directly from the page. The briefings also include downloadable PowerPoint presentations.
