News reaching the Siya crew is that a player Sekhukhune United have signed is expected to join up with his new teammates when they return in January.
Sekhukhune had a good first half of the season and are understood to have added the services of Namibian international Wazza Elmo Kambindu, who featured at the COSAFA Cup earlier this year.As previously reported by the Siya crew, the striker has penned a one-year deal with the DSTV Premiership rookies and there is an option to extend the contract.
With DSTV Premiership football set to only return in February due to the Africa Cup of Nations that will be played in Cameroon during the month of January, Kambindu will have an opportunity to familiarise himself with his new surroundings before he makes his debut for the club. Sekhukhune played their last match of 2022 on Wednesday, securing a point in a goalless draw with Chippa United in Port Elizabeth.
