People given a PIP light-touch award in 2013 will receive a review letter over the coming months
The Department for Work and Pensions has announced that “in most cases” people coming to the end of their 10-year award for Personal Independence Payment this year will not be required to attend an assessment. This follows on from the recent introduction of a shorter PIP review form now being sent out to those on a ‘light-touch’ award.
New PIP ‘light touch’ review form The six-page review form is considerably shorter than the current 16-page form . It's also worth noting that more than 319,000 existing PIP claimants in Scotland will still need to report certain changes to DWP until they have been transferred to the Social Security Scotland IT system, due to be completed by the end of 2025.
