The idea is to determine how much power they can produce, and hopefully complement solar PV installations.For climate change news and analysis, go to Five helix-shaped wind turbines have been unveiled at the V&A Waterfront as part of a pilot project, that challenges perceptions of how"aesthetically pleasing" power generation can be.
It consists of four turbines, each three metres high, with the capacity of one kilowatt and one three kW unit. The pilot will determine how much power can be generated from these small-scale turbines. LuvSide aims to have some system components manufactured in the country and thereby also create local jobs.
