If was the twin-turbo engine that will be unleashed next year that stole the show.The most powerful powertrain rolled out during launch in November was the 2.4-litre single turbodiesel that makes 135kW of power and 430Nm of torque.
The twin-turbo Mitsubishi Triton managed a time of 10.40 seconds in another market, which makes for very interesting reading. If the Triton can get close to that number over here, it will set the cat among the pigeons. It also boasts a claimed top speed of 190 km/h versus the 175 km/h for the Ford Ranger and 180 km/h for the Toyota Hilux.
