There are no plans to roll it out in the UK
McDonald's has confirmed to disappointed fans that the roll-out of adult Happy Meals in the US will not be coming across the pond. The fast food giant set social media alight after the menu change was announced in America.
Manchester Evening News shared the news on Facebook, and it's safe to say that people are anything but happy about the news. Joannah Barnard slammed: "No happiness for the UK!" Justin Humphreys wrote: "I imagine there must be a distinct lack of happy adults in the UK."Angie Norwood-Pearson said: "Absolutely devastating. [...] I won’t sleep at night knowing I won't get an adult happy meal." Damo Pritt said: "That doesn't make me HAPPY at all.
Francesca Marston suggested: "They should offer a smaller meal option for adults like a happy meal size though, not everybody can eat a full meal - elderly people or ones without a big appetite probably feel full up on a happy meal."
