The Conservative Party are predicted to lose 18 seats across the Yorkshire and Humber area
A major projection ahead of the July General Election has shown the Labour Party making gains across the Yorkshire region.
According to the projection, the Conservative Party are facing an electoral wipeout in South Yorkshire as well as major losses in West and North Yorkshire. The seat counts go by the new boundaries set in 2023. The Yorkshire and the Humber region excludes results from Middlesbrough and Redcar as well as Stockton West, which includes parts of North Yorkshire. It also includes results from a few northern Lincolnshire constituencies: Scunthorpe, Gainsborough and Grimsby.In addition, Labour are also set to gain Redcar, Stockton West, and Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland from the Conservative Party. The Labour Party are also set to hold Middlesbrough and Thornaby East.
