A new drug and alcohol support scheme will launch this week in West Belfast , offering free guidance and professional help to those in need.

"It is funded through the Executive Office's Community in Transition project, which we manage in the Upper Springfield Development Trust. There are five partners invovled - ourselves, Falls Residents Association, Blackie River Community Group, Upper Andersonstown Community Forum and Sally Gardens Community.

"Nobody can access that crucial help and support. People don't know how to avail of services out there, that is a massive barrier. What we will be doing through our clinics each Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, is providing that platform. There will be professinals, at every session and we will also be training up 30 volunteers across West Belfast who will help triage and saupport the professional worker.
