A NEW 'modern' Cantonese-inspired restaurant has opened its doors near Glasgow.
Shanghai Oriental, which is located on Union Street in Larkhall, has officially opened its doors to customers today ."straight" from Shanghai, while its extensive menu has been created in collaboration with Asian-Scots celebrity chef and TikTok star, Jimmy Lee.
The Scots celeb, who is a regular chef on ITV’s This Morning and owner of Glasgow’s multi-award-winning Lychee Oriental has spent several months training the new restaurant's kitchen staff. The new venue is a 65 seated restaurant that will also offer private dinning and options for takeaway. Chef Jimmy Lee said: “I’ve been a chef for over 20 years, and it’s been an honour to mentor the Shanghai Oriental kitchen team as they open their doors in Larkhall.
