The bakery has been in business for over a decade has finally opened its much-anticipated cafe on Great Western Road - and it's already proving hugely popular.
An exciting new cafe quietly opened by a popular bakery in Glasgow's west end earlier this month is already proving a smash hit with local foodies.
Cottonrake Bakery has been wowing fans for over a decade on Great Western Road with its sweet and savoury bakes and now it seems its cafe is quickly becoming as popular, with regular queues gathering. Known for its effortlessly cool socials and bakes such as cakes, choux pastries, macarons and cookies, the bakery is now offering a sit-in menu with coffee for people to enjoy their produce.
Having first applied for permission to open the cafe a few units down from their original venue in 2020, after a few hiccups they were finally able to open around the middle of August.Combining their much-loved baked goods with some breakfast and brunch items, the new cafe seems to be a winning formula and we now can't wait to visit ourselves.
As well as their pastries and cakes, you can enjoy dishes like Eggs Benedict with Ramsay's Bacon and Loch Fyne Smoked Salmon on Rye.
