Neve Campbell returns as Sidney Prescott in new Scream movie
The 45-year-old who played the lead role in the previous films joins fellow veterans David Arquette and Courteney Cox as well as Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega.It is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet of Radio Silence , a trio of filmmakers-based in Los Angeles, with a screenplay by James Vanderbilt .
The group said in a statement:"We're pinching ourselves! It's hard to express how much the character Sidney Prescott shaped our love of movies and to have the chance to work with Neve is truly a dream come true. It just wouldn't be aNeve added:"After spending time speaking with Radio Silence, they have shown such love, respect and admiration for Wes Craven and all that he's created in the franchise.
