A Network and Cisco Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure, primarily using Cisco technologies. The role focuses on ensuring optimal network performance, availability, and security across enterprise environments.
Overseeing the installation ISP Circuits at branches and franchises. Managing network infrastructure of all office moves for branches and franchises, and ensuring all completed by agreed date. Keeping inventory of all network equipment in the Cape and Port Elizabeth Region and updating on a regular basis. Maintenance of network rooms and cabling at all branches.
Site diagrams and keeping up to date. Configuring of switches at franchise sites for voice over IP telephony and testing with vendor. SDWAN – installation and support of Viptela and Meraki sites. Providing support to video conferencing equipment at Century City.
Support of equipment in all branches. Actioning of calls logged via Remedy . Telephonic problem resolution/ support according to remedy:Ensuring effective resolution of service requests and incidents logged. Unresolved calls/ problems are escalated for resolution.
Transfer knowledge to users and team members in a well-articulated manner. The external supplier call logging process always needs to be adhered to. Take ownership of calls till closure status. Cisco Certified Network Associate
