The Netherlands has lifted its entry ban on unvaccinated arrivals.

The country was one of the last EU members to impose a Covid entry ban on unvaccinated travellers .

Arrivals from third countries including the UK are no longer required to demonstrate their Covid status when visiting the Netherlands. Visitors are advised to do a self-test if they develop Covid symptoms while in the Netherlands. If it is positive, they “must self-isolate immediately”. The period of isolation depends on symptoms. Official advice says that those with symptoms:After five days, you can end your self-isolation once you have been free of symptoms for 24 hours.

The suspension follows an announcement that the operator would be focusing on core routes, scrapping its Disneyland Paris service from 7 June 2023; theMeanwhile, the European Commission says that it intends to “propose a revision” of the current recommendation for travel from third countries to the bloc “in order to take account of the changed epidemiological situation, increased vaccination across the globe and the developments of entry requirements in the member states”.

It also recommends that member states should be prepared to reintroduce public health measures based on clear thresholds. Updates are expected later this autumn.
