The Fan Park will continue to welcome visitors daily until the tournament concludes on Sunday, 6 August 2023.Since its gates opened on Friday, 28 July 2023, approximately 40,716 people have visited the Fan Park. This includes those stopping by for a drink or a quick bite before entering the CTICC and those who specifically came to the Fan Park to watch the games on big screens, enjoying an outdoor family outing.
‘Our goal for this fan park has been to provide access for those who cannot afford tickets while also providing them with a safe environment to enjoy entertainment, games and art for 12-hours a day. The free Fan Park remains open until the last match of the tournament and we’d like to encourage more people to come through to the Fan Park and enjoy a day filled with fun and lots of entertainment,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith.
