The South African Weather Service has issued an orange level 5 warning for disruptive rain in Nelson Mandela Bay, Eastern Cape.The weather service said disruptive rain is expected due to an upper air trough/cut-off low pressure system combined with a ridging surface high.
Residents have been urged to stay clear of river basins and low-lying areas and to not cross flooded rivers/areas. “Precipitation is expected to start Monday, but the effects only expected on Tuesday,” the weather service said on Monday, 4 November.Apart from disruptive rain warnings in Nelson Mandela and other parts of the Eastern Cape, the weather service also issued a yellow level 2
