Neighbours have spoken out after a house fire caused their street to close with multiple fire engines called to tackle the blaze. Residents on West Close, Keyworth, explained how they had a shock earlier today after a fire broke out in a terraced house.
Speaking about what happened, a 48 year old neighbour who lives next door to the house that caught fire stated it all happened "around quarter to one." She said: "I heard a thud, we were sat in the front room watching TV then one of the neighbours came running across to the house so I got up to see what all the commotion was."As soon as I opened the door I could hear it all happening. It was stopped really quickly, but it felt like a lifetime.
A 35 year old neighbour on the street said: "My house stinks of smoke too. The fire lot were absolutely brilliant, can't fault them at all."
