Near record highs before heat relief arrives next week

More triple digits are in store with highs near record territory through Friday.
A few lucky spots could see a stray shower or thunderstorm this afternoon, but most will stay dry. Low rain chances will be in place this weekend as well.A long-awaited change in the pattern is expected early next week with a chance of thunderstorms and cooler weather. The best time-frame for widespread rain next week looks to be Monday through Wednesday.
