With several labour representatives in the room, Singh said his party was the only one that wanted to expand unionization. In his speech, Singh said health care and inflation are issues his party will fight the Liberals on above and beyond the tenets of the confidence and supply agreement. Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced earlier this week that his government would direct some surgeries to privately run clinics, while still covering the operations with public dollars.“The prime minister has an opportunity right now to protect medicare while negotiating funding with the provinces. We all agree there should be strings attached.
