Rett syndrome is a rare genetic neurological disorder. It can lead to severe impairments, including impacting the ability to speak, walk, eat and breathe.
According toIt is typically recognized in children between 6-18 months old as they begin to miss developmental milestones, something the Engles said led them to Henry’s eventual diagnosis. There is no treatment or cure for Rett syndrome.
