ICYMI: 'Navigator' program to help vulnerable at Saskatoon public bathrooms
The city is looking to partner with a non-profit on a “peer navigator” program that would see outreach workers posted at two public toilets downtown.
“Any real, meaningful contact point to engage with people is definitely vital in our community,” Prairie Harm Reduction executive director Kayla DeMong said. They also approved up to $50,000 for a “public washroom support pilot project,” which aims to prevent “inappropriate use” while also helping vulnerable residents.Article content
