A gift fit for a king has been given to the Nature Conservancy of Canada in honour of King Charles III officially ascending to the throne.
The federal government has donated $100,000 to the organization to mark the King’s coronation, noting his commitment to environmental conservation and protection. National media director with the NCC, Andrew Holland, says they are honoured to receive the money, noting that it came “out of the blue.” The money will be used to help their internship program and fund positions for people like biologists and foresters. Holland states it will fund “boots on the ground” work by the organization.
